Old Ford Primary has been awarded the Platinum School Games Mark, the highest level of national recognition for schools delivering outstanding PE, sport, and competition.
This award follows five years of sustained effort in embedding inclusive, positive experiences in sport and competition across the school. It has led to a significant rise in pupil participation, both in intra-school competitions and in extracurricular sport. It also reflects our pupils’ regular representation of Tower Hamlets at the School Games Finals and London Youth Games.
Old Ford is the first school within our Trust to achieve Platinum, a milestone that demonstrates what’s possible when physical education is embedded within the school culture.
The School Games Organiser said: “Old Ford Primary School is a model example in the borough. They have significantly improved their offer of sports to students across a range of sports. They have regularly represented Tower Hamlets at the School Games Finals and London Youth Games. A massive credit to Jakir Hussain who has worked so hard over the last few years.”
