Culloden Primary hosts Gold Club development visit
On 18 November, senior leaders, foundation stage co-ordinators and practitioners from across London attended a development day which was hosted by Culloden Primary staff.
The focus of the day was to share Culloden’s innovative early years practice, supporting families and their children before they begin nursery. Attendees also had the opportunity to observe a range of lessons being taught in nursery and reception classes.
The feedback from attendees was very positive:
- “The children are so school ready and the teaching and learning is so rich. The school has such a lovely, welcoming feel. Thank you for having us.”
- “I value the opportunity to talk, ask questions and see teaching in action.”
- “Great EYFS expertise throughout the phase, consistent outstanding teaching and a great assessment procedure to trace progress over time.”
Culloden joins the Gold Club!
Improving standards and raising attainment for all children, regardless of background, has won ‘Gold Club’ status for Culloden Primary. Ben Carter, principal, commented, “The award recognises the results achieved by our pupils. We will continue to make sure that every pupil receives the education they deserve and will be sharing our teaching practice with other schools.” The academy achieved high attainment for its pupils in all subjects at key stage 2 last year.

Train to teach with Paradigm – applications open on 27 October
We offer initial teacher education (primary and secondary, all subject areas) through our salaried School Direct programme. As a trainee teacher you will have access to invaluable school and classroom experience that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience you will need to become an excellent class teacher.
This programme is for graduates and career changer graduates wishing to train to become teachers. We are also able to offer parallel, salaried training opportunities for strong candidates (secondary only) who do not have a degree but who can demonstrate clear aptitude and desire to develop a teaching career. We would consider applications for salaried training places from school leavers who have, or are predicted to achieve, strong A levels (or equivalent) and can demonstrate an interest in, and experience of, working with children and young people.
